Convert bookmark file

This linkaGoGo feature allows conversions between the various bookmark formats. This service is free for registered and guest users. Guest users will find an extra bookmark to the linkaGoGo website in the converted file.

Use your Browser's "File/Save(As)" menu to save the bookmarks to your local filesystem

Where to find the bookmark file of your browser

Internet Explorer users

Internet Explorer users first have to export their favorites using the File/Import and Export menu, the file that has been exported can then be uploaded.

Netscape users

Netscape users can find the bookmark file (bookmark.htm) on their local drive (mostly the C-drive) in the directory "Program Files\Netscape\Users\{username}"

Safari

Safari users can find the bookmark file (bookmarks.plist) on their local drive in the directory "Users/{username}/Library/Safari"

Opera users

Opera users can find the bookmark file (Opera5.adr) on their local drive (mostly the C-drive) in the directory "Program Files\Opera

MSN Explorer users

MSN Explorer users can find the bookmark file (favorites.xml) on their local drive (mostly the C-drive) in the directory "\Documents and Settings\{Username}\Application Data\MSN6\UserData\{UID}
On some Windows version like XP, the file is completely hidden. You can copy the MSN Explorer file to your "My Documents" folder by issueing the following commands in a command shell:
pushd %USERPROFILE%\App*\MSN6\Us*\{*
copy favorites.xml "%USERPROFILE%\My Documents"

Maxthon

Maxthon users first have to export their favorites using the File/Import and Export menu, and save it in Maxthon format. the file that has been exported can then be uploaded.

AOL

AOL users first have to export there favorite places with: Favorites/Favorite places/Save&Replace. The file that has been exported can then be uploaded with linkaGoGo.
